Role: Sound Designer / Sound Editor / Mix & Master
"Office" is a cinematic audio composition created for a horror film scene set in a seemingly ordinary workspace.
As the narrative unfolds, the presence of a mysterious man approaching the door builds a quiet but unbearable tension. The sound design plays a central role in amplifying this psychological unease
.
Into the Sound
The audio is structured into three main layers: music, foley, and sound effects. The foley captures everyday office actions—pen on paper, frantic typing, subtle desk movements—all performed and edited with an unnatural intensity to evoke anxiety.
As the man gets closer, music and sound effects escalate, supporting the visual pacing and suggesting the arrival of something sinister. Organic layers are subtly embedded within standard foley elements to foreshadow violence—for example, a paper shredder blended with visceral textures, designed to make the listener squirm.
The scene ends with the character opening the door, leaving the audience suspended in uncertainty—trapped in the silence just before the horror begins.
