Role: Sound Designer / Foley Artist / Sound Editor
"Supermarket" is an audio-driven short that recreates the everyday atmosphere of a busy store through a detailed and immersive sonic narrative.
The piece follows a customer’s journey—from entering the automatic doors to navigating through aisles, departments, and checkout—capturing both the realism and rhythm of the space.
Into the Sound
To shape the dynamic character of the environment, I designed audio transitions that mirror cinematic cuts, giving each scene a distinct yet coherent identity. Using direct microphone capture, I recorded bespoke foley sounds—shopping carts, footsteps, beeps, and background chatter—that were later refined and integrated in post-production.
Each sound was sculpted to fit the visuals and guide the listener through the space with clarity and subtle nuance.
The piece concludes with the soft slide of the automatic doors closing, providing a calm, atmospheric ending that wraps the experience with familiarity.
